A Psalm Acknowledging Weakness (Number 19)

Whatever is worth doing at all, is worth doing well.
How my human frailty brings frustration;
When I would do well, I fail to achieve,
And when I should do as I should,
Desire easily flees.

Lord, when You leave me to my own devises,
There is nothing good that comes out of my life.

I agree with Paul when he said,
"In me, that is in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing."

Heavenly Father, help me to walk in the power of Your Holy Spirit.
Lord Jesus, cause me to be sensitive to Your life-giving Word.
Holy Spirit, cause me to be in tune with Your still, small voice.

O God, I trust in You,
And trust Your promises.
