Remember the meaning of Christmas

Although a strong and convincing argument could be made that Jesus Christ was not born on December 25 (much more likely September 11, 4 BC) Christendom has chosen this date to celebrate the incarnation of our Lord and Saviour.

The fact of this real, historical event is pivotal, and all of the rest of history finds its relevance in the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

When we sit down to Christmas dinner, it would behove us to remember that it is in honour of Him that we celebrate.
