God's Thoughts are Deeper than our Thoughts

5 O LORD, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep. 6 A senseless man does not know, Nor does a fool understand this. (Psalm 92:5-6)

It is very rare to find companions who attempt to think the thoughts of God after Him. This is what is meant by, "have the mind of Christ." Senseless fools either, do not think through issues at all, or, begin with presuppositions that are not grounded in the words of God. Elsewhere the Scriptures say, "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God.'"

It is critical that young people read the Bible, study and memorise it. It is also important that they have the opportunity to learn how to apply it to the bigger issues of life. This is why Christian schooling is so important (either Christian days schools, or Christian homeschools).

All thoughts are cyclical, and all thoughts begin with pre-suppositional foundations. Dr Glenn Martin often said, the Bible contains pin pricks of revelation. With rational thought, we can think into every area of life from these pin pricks of truth. On the other hand, if we begin with the wrong pin prick of thought, the rational process can lead us into great error that can ultimately enslave generations.

It does matter how and what we think, for "as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
