Into what name are we to be baptized?

4 Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is His Son’s name,
If you know?
(Proverbs 30:4)

"What is His name, and what is His Son's name." The Old Testament allusions to the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be more clear than this one. The Triunity of the Godhead is implied over and over again. The name of the Father is: "Lord;" the name of the Son is "Jesus;" and the name of the Holy Spirit is "Christ." This same Jesus has been given a name which is above all other names. That is, His Triune Redemptive name encompasses the names of all the Persons in the Godhead: the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit into which we are to baptize (Matthew 28:19); into which the Apostles baptized in full understanding of the implications of Jesus' command (Acts 2:36); (Acts 2:38); (Acts 8:16); (Acts 19:5).
