3 Uzziah was sixteen years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem. 4 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done. 5 He sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God; and as long as he sought the LORD, God made him prosper. (II Chronicles 26:3-5)
Of recent days, God has been stirring in me a vision for the future. This Scripture reminds me that there needs to be a constant seeking of the Lord as a vision is pursued. We cannot bring to pass God's vision, without the unfolding of God's detailed plan and relying upon God's immediate activity.
Oh Lord, help me to remember this passage into the future, and help me to be a doer of Your Word, not just a hearer only. Amen!
