"Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you." (Mark 5:19b)
The Lord's compassion is new every morning, and great is His faithfulness. If our friends are truly our friends, then we will be keen to share with them the compassion that has been shown to us by the Lord, and also to share the great things that He has done for us.
Do we hold back from sharing because we fear losing the friendship? Or is it because we are ashamed of our Lord?
O Lord, the friends you have given me are for Your glory. If they are friends indeed, then they will rejoice, along with me, in the greatness of Your deeds and the wonderful abundance of Your compassion. If they are offended at the telling of these things, then they are not true friends.
Make me much more bold in sharing the goodness of the Lord with all who come across my path, but especially with my friends.
